Training a New Member of Staff

I hired a new member of staff the other week and have been training her to do some basic tasks.  At some point I hope she will be able to do more, but for now she has the ability to write some good articles for my lenses.  However, she is writing article faster than I can do all the other things needed to create a good lens.

So here is what I wish to do and I am not sure how this will work.  If you have a lens and you want her to write an article then please make a comment along with the lens URL below.  The better the lens the better the article, but we can also write an article if you need something to get you going.

That means you get an article done for free that you can use on your lens… kinda like a PLR and I get to better train my staff.

Now all I want you to do in return is to go to the featured lens section of this blog and post a comment on one of the lenses that will give the lensmaster some ideas on how they can improve their lens.

Cool that you’re training this person up on writing. I need to find a couple of ‘beat writers’ too. Here’s the lens: http://www.squidoo.com/fencing101

Cheers!

Hi - if I could get an article for

http://www.squidoo.com/eat-healthy-foods

that would be great. Am just about to have a listen to the SquidooCall now, so time to brew some tea!

Karl,
I would love a couple of articles for a niche topic (not hypnosis) and its keywords. Please have your assistant email me through my site for particulars… if you and she agree.
Thanks.

Tom, I made Squidoo lenses for a few months before I ever tried to add any html. You do not have to have it. It will help you but there are lots of folks on Squidoo to help and plenty of Squidoo lenses that will teach you how to Squidoo, easy HTML, marketing, etc.
Go to http://www.squidoo.com/squidoo-to-do-lists and see the long list of resource lenses there.
And visit SquidU and introduce yourself. SquidU is a great forum and somebody there usually can answer any questions.

I would love to have the opportunity of having an article written for squidoo, any way of communicating the topic without publishing it here?

This is a brand new lens so it could use a little boost, thanks for offering this.

Tom, here’s a little to wet your whistle with. If you want to “bold” a piece of text or word first put this symbol ‘< b >‘ in front of whatever you want to bold.

Then put ‘< /b >‘ behind it (without the spaces). Make sure you put the forward slash(/) before the “b” inside of the arrows when you want to close the symbol.

The same will work for “italics” < i >, < /i > and “underline” , .

Just some basic stuff for you Tom. Also if you want to “hyper-link” some text. Preferably “anchor” text to use for seo purposes.

Insert your keyword where it says “keyword here” Example:
< a href="http://www.yourdomain.com">“keyword here”< /a>

Hope this helps Tom.

What a great idea! It’s a win-win-win for all.

If you select my lens to write an article for, I like it on list building . . . why, how, what to do with it once you have it, how to nurture your list so it grows and stays with you.

All the best,
Theresa

I haven’t been online much since Dec. because of computer viruses. To make a long story short, I had had to install 2 new hard drives because of some nasties from China. I just got my computer back and am restoring files, but because of all of this grief am behind on all of my lens on several different of my accounts. Many of my lens are fairly large, but this one could really use an updated article.

Also to Tom, the correct hyper-link url:
your keyword or phrase here

There SHOULD NOT be a space between the beginning of the tag and the letter “a” (<a). There SHOULD be a space before the word “target” (.com” target).

This code will open your link in a new tab and will make it easier for a viewer to get back to your lens.

Aloha,
June

Note from Karl… I had to put the space in there so the code could be read else it would be seen as real code.
